Dolce & Gabbana’s new make up has Scarlett Johansson as its campaign face. “Make up is something you do to make yourself feel good,” the blond actress was quoted as saying after shooting the ad. According to Scarlett Johansson, she is inspired by Rita Hayworth when making up: “When I do red-carpet events, I always try to be inspired by Old Hollywood glamour, whether that’s Rita Hayworth or Lauren Bacall,” she told journalists, adding ” I like to take a lot of looks, especially from that period, but also keep it modern and fresh.”

Looking at her pictures, however, we sense a little more resemblance to Marilyn Monroe than Rita Hayworth.

A remarkable, fist-shaped bottle and a strong, manly fragrance – that’s contemporary urban clothing line Diesel’s new, limited edition fragrance whose debut on May 7 is just in time for the premiere of summer blockbuster Iron Man 2.
Iron Man 2 Edition of Diesel's Only The Brave Fragrance

After the outstanding success of her husband Donald Trump’s jewelry and fashion line, and all the recent buzz around stepdaughter Ivanka Trump’s fancy wedding ring, Melanie Trump decided to enter the ring (metaphorically speaking), with an own jewelry line, the 40-year-old model and wife told yesterday.
 Melanie Trump Jewelry Line
Even moguls like the Trumps enjoy a bargain sometimes (well, most of the times), so Melanie Trump’s jewelry line is dubbed a bargain or a discount jewelry line. In terms of prices it will mean that all items in the Melania Timepieces & Jewelry Collection will be priced under $200. Truly affordable, we can agree.
The jewelry line will allegedly be launched on QVC, a televised home shopping company on April 30, 9 pm. According to Melanie Trump, QVC is the exact channel that can bring success to an affordable, cheap and mass produced jewelry line.
“My collection will offer women across the country an exclusive peek in to my personal life. My passion for design, fashion and beauty is reflected in each piece of my New York, Palm Beach and Paris collections. These are the cities that I call home, and I have been intricately involved in the creative process of every design,” Melanie Trump was quoted as saying concerning her wearable and affordable designs.
The versatile Melania Timepieces & Jewelry Collection will features watches, rings, necklaces, bracelets, and earrings.
Size 4 supermodel, Lara Stone is reported to be the face of the fashion line’s upcoming campaign this fall. While this might not seem anything revolutionary, in fact it is: this means that Calvin Klein is about to break up casting underage and underweight size 0 (read: anorexic) models for its campaigns.
Lara Stone to become the face of Calvin Klein
As 1 Management’s Christopher Michael somewhat ironically tweeted, “Calvin Klein has discontinued their use of the Size 0-2 Models and traded them in for a 2-4…” it is “a sign of the times indeed.”
About the background? The decision is allegedly lays in the hands of Calvin Klein creative director Francisco Costa, who just recently noted that casting the youngest, freshest-faced models and focusing only on this perspective was becoming “a little too formulaic” for him. He also highlighted that he is now lured to pick healthier-looking women in the future.
While this all may seem nice and another important step for normal looking women, the giant leap of womankind still looks a bit further ahead: Lara Stone, who was featured on the cover of Vogue fashion magazine to illustrate the “return of curves” has a body that may only seem curvy in the universe of supermodels. According to Vogue she previously struggled with her body, going even on diet, doing excercises, and trying pills.
“What they say is ‘curvy,’ but you know they mean fat,” she told Vogue. And: “I can have an androgynous quality, except for the boobs. People still tell me I’m fat, but when I look in the mirror, that’s not what I see,” she added.
Well, we too will be really surprised to see a fat woman in Calvin Klein’s fall campaign.
Former Posh Spice and current fashion icon Victoria Beckham teamed up with desperate housewife Eva Longoria to back the launch campaign of LG’s new LG Fashion mobile phones targeted at fashionistas. The two new models are called LG Lotus Elite and LG Rumor Touch.

Lolavie. This is how Jennifer Aniston’s perfume line will be called according to Women’s Wear Daily, who talked to the actress following a long period of media speculation. The ad of the perfume (shot by Mario Sorrenti) shows Jennifer Aniston sitting on the beach wearing nothing but a towel (and, presumably, the fragrance).
 Jennifer Aniston's fragrance - Lolavie
Jennifer Aniston confirmed that the new fragrance will hit the stores sometime this summer. Its debut is set to June, 2010, when it appears exclusively at Harrods department store in London. The perfume will be priced from $46.50, and will be available in other countries and throughout the United States later this year.
“Nonperfume perfume,” Jennifer described the scent to journalists. According to Aniston, the perfume will be discreet, “sexy and clean” or in other words “floral but not too flowery”. There is no word on where the name of the fragrance has come from, but if we have to guess, it’s the phonetic transcription of the French phrase the water of life (l’eau la vie). “It’s been a year-and-a-half journey,” Jennifer Aniston told Women’s Wear Daily, adding she has already received several similar requests, but since the “hadn’t felt organic”, she would turn them down.
“But when Leon Falic approached me to be involved with the process from inception to fruition, I thought, ‘This could be a creative expression’,” Aniston was quoted as saying by WWD. Aniston, who is known for her affection towards clear, natural things (such as modern architecture), stressed that naturality was an important focus when creating the scent. “Most of all I wanted it to smell natural,” she said, adding “I want people to go, ‘What is that? You smell great!”
The former Mrs. Pitt said she had a long history with fragrances: “The first perfumes I ever wore were Miss Dior and Anais Anais. My mother wore Calèche and my grandmother used a body splash that came in a big yellow jug that she kept by the bathtub. Those were very strong scents. Now I am not a big perfume-y fragrance fan,” she described her way towards clearer scents.
By launching the Lolavie perfume line, Jennifer Aniston will join a bunch of celebs, who recently entered the fragrance market, such as Bruce Willis, Halle Berry, Eva Longoria or Demi Moore.
If you think Disney is for kids only, think again. You may not want to wear Ariel, The Little Mermaid as a main theme of your chic jewelry, but you also might want to wear something as chic as the necklace below, inspired by Disney’s Little Mermaid, designed and produced by Disney Couture.
Little Mermaid Jewelry by Disney Couture
According to Disney Insider, the Ariel-inspired Little Mermaid Jewelry line will follow the company’s Alice In Wonderland-themed jewelries, produced and designed by Lucas Design International, and it will hit stores in early May.
Although most items of the Little Mermaid Jewelry line will be almost literal interpretations of Ariel’s world – treasure box pendant necklaces, jellyfish or octopus-shaped earrings -, the 30-piece collection will feature a few items (presumably those, closer to the top end of the $30-$160 price range, that are aimed at a more mature audience.
The item above is called the Rainbow Mother of Pearl Necklace, and will sell for $145 at Disney Couture. The elegant necklace resembles the flakes of a colorful fish, and may appear childish to some, but in fact is a great accessory for the early summer days of 2010.
Earlier this year, Disney Couture’s Alice in Wonderland themed jewelries proved to be a great success. The jewelry line was created by Tom Binns.
